The Wasaya Group of Companies continues to demonstrate exceptionally strong and positive growth and we are happy with both the performance and the achievements we have made.
I have been fortunate to be part of a ground breaking First Nation company that has taken us on a remarkable journey and I know we have started to walk down the road towards a more vibrant and prosperous future. We are proud of the successful track record that our company has accomplished over the years and at the same time we are humbled by the responsibility we have as leaders in business and for our people.
The achievements that we have made to overcome challenges and adversity is evident and the record clearly demonstrates the important contributions that our people have made and will continue to make in generating a mainstream economy for our people.
Our business has experienced dramatic growth over the years and we have become so diversified that I believe we have exceeded any of our original expectations. That vision includes the need to expand on the benefits the company has provided for our communities, benefits such as education, employment and overall capacity building. Being a business that is responsible to the communities we serve, we will continue to focus on new goals and issues that our communities face - and we will do this together by reaching out to more partners in business and communities across the north and throughout the province.
We have always been taught to consider how our decisions will impact the future generations.
We also know that to be able to maintain this level of development, you must have sound direction with effective operational skills and knowledge.
I have been stressing communication, education and teamwork since I got on board and will be striving towards that as we move forward.
